about susan

I moved to Colorado over 40 years ago to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. Like so many others, I knew right away that this was my forever home. After graduating from CU, I worked for ten years for the City of Boulder's Children's Services Division (later "Children, Youth, and Families").

My work with families inspired me to then pursue a graduate degree in community counseling. After graduate school, I worked in community mental health before starting a private practice in Boulder.

Recently my husband and I moved to Loveland to spend more time with our grandchildren. During the pandemic, I joined the world of online therapy - and I've found it to be very effective as well as very convenient for the clients I serve. Now I see clients online or in my downtown Loveland office.

Now that my children are grown, I spend my free time biking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I'm an avid gardener and reader - while my husband has recently taken up cooking! Most days, you can find me devouring his latest recipe while trying to keep up with our two yappy poodles, Abby and Ella.
