About Susan B. Coleman, M.A.

Susan Coleman, M.A.My approach to therapy with couples, adolescents, and families emphasizes a respect for the needs of all family members in achieving mutually satisfying and effective resolutions to their concerns. I rely on my clinical skills and experience to engage couples, adolescents, and families in the treatment process, and to create a supportive and safe environment for change.

In my practice I work with clients with a broad range of issues/concerns, including stresses related to family change such as separation/divorce, parenting concerns, couple communication, and emotional and behavioral difficulties for adolescents that negatively impact their functioning at home and school.

I have over 20 years of experience working in a variety of capacities with couples and families helping them manage and overcome issues with couples conflict, family communication, anger management, anxiety, depression, learning problems, and low motivation/underachievement. I provide both individual and family therapy using solution focused, brief problem solving, cognitive behavioral, and family systems approaches.
